Looking at a donkey

We went to Volens, VA today to look at a donkey. She is perfect! She's a miniature donkey, about 6 years old. She's been around people and kids her whole life and will even follow her owner around in the field. As an added bonus, she is pregnant! So, we will have a new baby in the fall! Bringing her home tomorrow!

Dresses, Tiaras, and Unmentionables....oh my!

Mom and I took Lauren and Emily shopping today to find some last minute items for Lauren's cruise. While we were out, we found the most wonderful dresses for Lauren and Emily to wear in the wedding! If that wasn't enough, we decided to go looking at David's Bridal and found the perfect dress for me while we were there. After much debate (just joking), we also ended up with a tiara instead of a veil, as well as, the strange contraptions one needs to wear under bridal gowns. Our shopping adventure was a successful!

Babies!! (and more babies)

Wow! In the past week, we have had 4 new babies! We have 2 new heifers and 2 new bulls. Apparently, the bull was busy several months back.

Wedding Update!

Steve and I are still working hard to get this wedding planning completely done! We've set the date, the place, the time, the preacher. Now, we just have to worry about flowers, cake, and of course....clothes! agh! Too bad I have been teaching a class that is taking up all my Saturdays! However, it will be over next weekend and then, the shopping is FULL SPEED AHEAD!

Looking for a Donkey

Emily has asked for Nigerian Dwarf goats for her birthday in May. So, Steve and I thought we would look for a "guard donkey" to protect the little bitty goats. The hunt is on! We'll keep you posted!
